The InCommon Certificate Service provides unlimited certificates for US higher education for one fixed annual fee--including SSL, extended validation, client (personal), and code signing certificates. The program covers all of the domains owned or controlled by the institution (.edu, .net, .org, .com, and others).
The fixed annual fee, combined with centralized management and reporting takes the guess work out of budgeting and administration, while the delegable control to issue certificates across departments or groups eases operational burdens.
Any higher education institution with its primary location in the United States, and qualifying for a primary domain name in .edu, may subscribe. Not-for-profit regional research and education networking organizations in the United States may also subscribe. Subscribers must be InCommon participants or join InCommon.
