Internet2 continues to work to help the research and education community gain the skills they need to take full advantage of the powerful technical innovations presented by cloud service providers. To that end, we want to know what skill areas and platforms are the highest priorities for you and your institutional colleagues.

Online training on these topics is widely available, but they sometimes require full-year licenses and are generally done in isolation. Internet2 convenes community around the cloud training while leveraging commercial online training content from vendors like Pluralsight, Cloud Academy or Coursera. Participants go through that content together with peers in the community, led by an expert from within the community.

This allows participants full access to professionally-developed online cloud training without the cost/commitment of a full year's license. It also allows participants the flexibility to work through the content when they can. A cohort lead/mentor sets the pace, but you fit it in on your own schedule. The cohort comes together weekly to discuss and debate what you are all covering and how it fits the higher ed context. This helps you learn it better while building a professional network as you go.

We are preparing to schedule a series of new trainings, but before we do that and before we recruit the cohort leads, we need to know what topics you want covered. Some could be mapped to specific certifications, others could be topical. Please let us know what you want personally and for your institution.
