Internet2 and GlobalNOC Sign New Agreement
On behalf of Internet2 and Indiana University, we are pleased to inform you that on March 15 Indiana University and Internet2 executed a contract between Internet2 and the GlobalNOC that continues the long-standing operational and strategic relationship that assures exemplary support for the Internet2 Network.
Following overarching principles derived from the Operations Excellence Community Steering Team report, the teams from Internet2 and GlobalNOC have developed what we believe is a fully modernized agreement that includes better definition of services, measurable outcomes and appropriate success metrics.
The initial term of the agreement is 3.5 years commencing on July 1, 2017 and, unless terminated by either party, will automatically renew for two successive one-year terms.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Steve Fleagle, Pankaj Shah and Steve Corbato whose work on behalf of the community in supporting the work of the negotiating team was invaluable. Our thanks as well to Rob Vietzke, Dave Jent, Alison Ferreira, Jon-Paul Herron, and Chris Wilkinson. This team put in long hours to assure the success of this process.
We are pleased and gratified to have achieved this very important step forward and thank you all for your feedback and patience throughout this process. Please reach out to either of us if you have any questions whatsoever.
—Dave Lambert, Internet2 and Brad Wheeler, Indiana University
